“Kind words are like honey–sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
Our words according to the Bible have the power to bring life as well as death. Proverbs 12:6. The writer of Proverb tells us, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it( the Word of Jesus ) will eat its fruit”( fruit meaning its rewards, blessings from Jesus).
But in the Bible also, words are so important they will go into the eternal life with us. Right there at the gates! Jesus said,
“But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:36–37).
It’s not always easy but we my really try to remember to use words to build up and not destroy. Spread God’s love. Finding direction and examples are easy to come by as kindness is mentioned in Bible over 300 times and many dealing with our speech. Again emphasizing the importance. Go then and lift up! 💖
🖌️Bible Art Journaling technique here:
Acrylic paints directly painted on an unfinished hymn book page. I started with the wings, let dry, then heart shape. Letting each layer dry between more applications and fine paint work. To keeps colors from mixing together and becoming muddy drying in-between is applying colors loose and freely in background when heart and wings completed. Finally, a coat of gel medium over everything thing. This one happened to be glossy. It also give strength to page. Words are written with a #pigmapen you guessed it….after paint dried, over top. I went in with Faber Castell markers and filled in parts of letter and accents.
Hope you find this helpful in creating your own pages!
