Description
Light Has Found Me
10″ x 10″ | Mixed Media on Cradled Wood Panel
Acrylic, ink, graphite, and layered text
Part of the Eyes to See series, Light Has Found Me continues the exploration of vision, awareness, and the quiet ways illumination meets us—often when we are not actively searching for it.
Rich ultramarine blues and deep umber browns create a grounded depth, while layered greens—phthalo and sap—suggest growth and movement beneath the surface. Threads of iron oxide yellow move throughout the piece, carrying a sense of light breaking through—subtle, persistent, and alive.
Built through intuitive layers of paint, mark-making, and embedded writing, this piece holds scripture within its surface—woven in as texture and presence, not always meant to be fully read, but to be felt.
Included within the piece are references to:
Psalm 119:18 — “Open my eyes that I may see…”
Matthew 6:22 — “The eye is the lamp of the body…”
Together, these verses reflect a quiet awakening—the moment light reaches us, revealing what was always there, waiting to be seen.
