Start with how you want the space to feel
Before you choose a single piece of art, pause for a moment and ask yourself:
Do I want this room to feel calm?
Energizing?
Welcoming?
Creative?
Art has a way of setting the emotional tone of a space faster than almost anything else.
A soft, layered piece can quiet a room.
A bold, movement-filled piece can bring it to life.
And the beautiful thing is—you don’t have to overthink it.
You already know what feels good to you.
When you’re curating your home, it’s easy to start with:
“Will this match my couch?”

But the spaces that feel the most inviting… the most layered… the most you…
aren’t built around matching.
They’re built around feeling.
Instead of asking:
“Does this match my space?”
Try asking:
“How does this make me feel?”
That one small shift can completely change what you choose to bring into your home.
A small shift to try this week
Your home doesn’t need to look perfect.
It just needs to feel like you.
Next time, I’ll share Part 2: why you don’t need to have the “perfect spot” before bringing art home (and why that might be holding you back).
I’d love to know—what kind of feeling are you wanting more of in your home right now?
