Description
Richness
10″ x 10″ | Mixed Media on Cradled Wood Panel
Acrylic, ink, graphite, and layered text
Part of the Eyes to See series, Richness Found Me reflects the quiet abundance revealed when our vision shifts—when we begin to recognize the depth, beauty, and presence that has always surrounded us.
Echoing its sister piece, this work carries rich ultramarine blues and deep umber browns for depth and grounding, layered with phthalo and sap greens that suggest growth and life unfolding. Passages of iron oxide yellow move throughout, offering moments of warmth and subtle illumination—less like a sudden light, and more like a steady awareness settling in.
Created through intuitive layers of paint, expressive mark-making, and embedded writing, scripture is woven into the surface—felt as much as it is seen—creating texture, movement, and spiritual resonance.
Included within the piece are references to:
Ephesians 1:18 — “The eyes of your heart may be enlightened…”
2 Kings 6:17 — “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.”
Also woven into the layers is the declaration:
“My eyes are open—I see the beauty of God’s presence all around me.”
Together, these words speak to a deepened awareness—an awakening to richness not as something gained, but as something recognized.
This piece is sold separately as part of a pair of sister works.
